Picasa - downloading from camera and placing a picture in an email

To Down Load Your Pictures Into "Picasa" From Your Camera

To do this is easy. Open Picasa, connect your camera to the computer, with the camera display ON, this is the screen that shows the pictures you have taken with the camera.
Look on the top of Picasa screen and you will see "Import" press this once and on the next screen you will see "Select device" click on this and see if your camera is there, if it is, click on it once, your pictures should then down load to the computer them selves.
When the down load is finished, you will be asked to give them a name, "summer holiday" or what ever, click finish and wait for the down load to end, you will then see your photo's with the name you gave the folder on the left side of the screen. To open this folder just click it once, and you will have "thumb nails" of your pictures, on screen.
To open any one, just left click on it twice. All mouse clicks are with the left mouse button only .
Look for the small sign on the bottom task bar, "Safely remove hard ware" before disconnecting your camera.
Good Luck, and happy photography

To Put A Picture in an email with Picasa

With your pictures on display, open the folder that you wish to use to send the picture from via email.
Left click once on the selected picture and at the bottom left of the screen you will see, HOLD, CLEAR, ADD TO.. Click on the hold button and you will see a little green circle on you picture this means that it is held, you can select as many pictures as you wish, but be careful they are not too big for email.
At the bottom of the screen to the right you will see other icons, look for email and click on this once, you will be asked what your mail server is, normally it would be windows mail or other Micro soft email program, select this one, and you screen will come up with a normal email mail. Put in the address in the usual way, type your message and send it as normal.
When you have sent your email, go back to the "hold screen" and click "Clear" this will remove all the selected pictures back into the folder they came from.
I hope that this will help you enjoy "Picasa" and the fun you can have with it.
