Q. Monthly Meeting Photo on an email. How do I resize and print? |
A: Peggy This is not usually a very good idea. Usually the photo has been re-sized before being sent. By opening the photo in Windows Gallery, clicking Print there are some options as to size for printing. Remember you cannot add what has already been taken out of the photo. Email photos are really only meant for viewing, if you need a better picture, then it is best to obtain a printed copy from the Sender or if there are many photos, then a CD is the best option. |

Q. A. A. When you receive an email and print it out the font size is too small about 8pt, how do you increase the font size on the print out? |
A: Peggy To print the body of any email, it is best to copy the email to a word document, then you can change the colour, size of text, delete any parts that are not required. To do this: Select the body text, right click, select Copy from the menu, open a word document, click Paste. |

Q. P.P I know there is some easy way of blocking unwanted emails appearing in my Inbox. Could you please elaborate. I am using Windows Mail in Vista. |
A. Peggy: To actually block a Sender: Highlight the email you wish to block. Click Message in the top toolbar. Go down to Junk E-mail and across to the arrow. A menu will appear with several options. As you can see the Sender can be actually blocked by clicking on Add Sender to Blocked Senders List. To check if this has actually been done - Click on Tools in the toolbar. Click Junk E-mail options/Blocked Senders List. You should see the result. |

Q. SL I have just been advised by Optus that my internet rate is going up by about $12 a month for the same plan. I am looking at changing my internet provider. Would anyone have any suggestions as to what are some reasonable ones in our area. More importantly my other question is if I change my provider does that mean that my email address will change. My address has ........@optusnet.com.au in it. So if I change say to DODO will this mean I cannot use that address. |
A. Harry: I think you will find that many ISPs will be increasing their fees, some more than others. Yes, you will lose your email address when you move to another ISP and instead of your current address it will be something like say somebody@whateverisp.com.au I am reluctant to recommend an ISP for a number of reasons. Some people 'bundle' their internet broadband, home phone and mobile phone accounts into one contract which makes it difficult to compare apples and oranges. |
