Q.T.C.
How do I read a blog.
A. Harry
Members have asked how they should respond to a request to contribute or become a friend in different blog sites. There is no simple answer to this question but I am going to emphasize caution. When you respond to a request to become a friend you have to rely on the owner of the blog site taking adequate precautions with your identity. Many people are lax in this regard and some sites make it difficult for the blogger to keep contributors identify secret, your personal details should not therefore be provided. You should not in any circumstances disclose your full names, email addresses, postal addresses, places or work/school, telephone numbers of any information which might identify you or your family. I would for example use a pseudonym not my real name.

I will probably be accused of being too conservative and over cautious in this matter but it is a question of trust, that is do you have trust in the blogger and their competence not to disclose your personal information to everyone who visits their blog site. Discuss it with your friend or relative and make sure that your identify will be properly protected. Some blogs have private and public access with a password required to access the blog site. The following web sites have information which discuss this subject.
